It should be noted however that Bamako has played and continues to play a vital role in the music scene that has become synonymous with Mali. If you are here, give yourself the time and space to immerse yourself in the entire culture that surrounds Malian music and artists. Spend some time trying to play the djembe or kora, or dance the night away with masters in Bamako. We can almost guarantee your “Top 40” will never be the same.
